About

Hi, I’m Serena, a 24-year-old Lebanese marketer, artist, and Type 1 diabetic.

I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was just 4 years old. At that tender age, I didn’t fully grasp what it meant, only that I was different. As I grew up, I often felt ashamed of my diabetes. I tried to hide it at school, avoided talking about it, and felt like no one around me truly understood what I was going through.

However, over time, I realized that silence doesn’t make diabetes easier; sharing does.

Opening up about my experiences helped me connect with others in the diabetes community who were living the same reality. It transformed something I used to hide into something I could finally be proud of.

That’s how teeoneedee was born, from honesty, vulnerability, and a desire to create change.

Through this platform, I want to highlight that Type 1 Diabetes doesn’t define us; it empowers us.

At teeoneedee, my mission is to redefine how people see Type 1 Diabetes: not as a limitation, but as a story of strength, resilience, and community.

Through storytelling, awareness campaigns, and honest conversations, I aim to create a space where people with T1D feel seen, supported, and inspired to share their own experiences.

This platform is more than a story; it’s a reminder that diabetes connects us, rather than defines us.
